REGGATRONIC
About
A hypnotic fusion where UK garage meets Indian classical traditions. Built on a skippy two-step foundation at 130 bpm, "Cardamom" weaves sitar melodies and tabla rhythms through chopped vocal samples and wobbling bass. Mina's sparse, introspective lyrics explore the weight of unspoken words and cultural identity—"a stain, a mark, a line, a thread"—while the production literally embodies two worlds colliding.
As garage synths pulse and tabla patterns interlock with syncopated snares, the track creates a transcendent space where East London grit meets South Asian soul, all anchored by that whispered mantra: Cardamom.
